Sandalwood is commonly used by our ancestors as an element to nourish and heal the skin. Chandana is a secret beauty ingredient. It acts as an antiseptic, disinfectant, anti-inflammatory, and astringent. It fades away scars, and dark spots and acts as anti anti-aging agent, exfoliating the skin. It removes blackheads and blemishes and treats acne. chandana is used to enhance the complexion and is very useful for sun tan and sun burn. It acts as varnprasadana, and pitta shamaka(reduces body heat).

How to use

• For oily skin: Chandana powder mixed with rose water.
• For dry skin: Chandana powder mixed with kasturi pasupu and milk.
• For normal skin: chandana powder with water.

Prepare a paste by mixing any of the one or two ingredients with chandana. Apply the paste on your face and leave it for 15 to 20 minutes until it gets dry. Wash off with plain water. For better results use it twice a week.
